I have been dreaming of owning a Panerai for more than 4 years already. During this whole time, I was contemplating on either a Submersible or a GMT and researched for the dial I liked best. For its simplicity, elegance and useful function, I decided to settle for a GMT and narrowed my options to just 2 models– the discontinued 63C or the current 297K, in order of priority.
A mint-condition 63C, being a 9-year old watch, with complete paperwork, boxes & stickers is extremely difficult to find. Claiming one to be in mint or like-new condition is very subjective, specially from a Seller's point of view.
Interestingly, on numerous internet searches in August 2009, there were four 63Cs being sold– one in Germany, one in Singapore, and two in the US (Texas & Hawaii). It was only David of Honolulu Time Service that promptly responded to my initial inquiry, provided a detailed description and presented the most number of actual pictures of the watch. My instincts told me to continue the exploratory discussions with David. Having done so convinced me that the person I was talking to from 5,000+ miles away and 18 time zones behind was one I could trust. In fact, although it was offered, I no longer asked to see pictures of the Serial Number, Production Series, Original Warranty Card, Booklets, COSC Certificate, etc.
If you have any doubt whatsoever on the item you are interested in purchasing from Honolulu Time Service, call David and you'll know what I mean. Just like I did, ask him: "What's wrong with it?" and you'll get an honest to goodness assessment.
I did take a big risk in wiring a substantial amount of money to a complete stranger. David lived up to his commitment. The watch was listed as "mint - like new". But when it finally came, it was more like I just bought it fresh from the Panerai boutique.
I really appreciate the cooperation, attentiveness, patience, information and consideration I received. In the end, Honolulu Time Service values reputation above making a sale and, perhaps, such is a long term and sustainable business philosophy.

:: It passed after return home from Hawaii for one month. I use Tudor Submariner which I purchased in honolulu time service every day. I always remember Hawaii whenever I watch time with this watch. Tudor Prince Oyster Date presented it as a souvenir to father and was pleased very much. In late years antique TUDOR rises in price in Japan and can purchase the clock which I am cheap this time, and is good and I am glad at all and think. In addition, I will drop in again by all means when I went out to Hawaii to play sometime.
